SJ-210/SJ-310: Troubleshooting with "Limit Error" [Form Measuring Instruments] [Surftest (Surface Roughness Tester)]

Items to check when "Limit Error" appears

1. If "Limit Error" appears and measurement cannot be performed, check if the detector unit and cable are tightly connected.

2. Check if the "detector unit retraction" is performed properly.

・SJ-210 detector unit withdrawal procedure:

With the power off, press the [POWER/DATA] key while holding down the [START/STOP] key.

・SJ-310 detector unit retraction procedure:

Press [Withdrawal] in [Main Menu] on the touch panel.

If the above checks do not result in normal operation and an error message still appears, repair is required. Please contact the dealer where you purchased the product.
